The origin of vaastushastra may have taken place well over thousands of years ago.Vastu is a part of Vedas, which are believed to be four to five thousand years old. Through penance and meditation, yogis of that period acquired answers believed to have come from the cosmic mind itself to their questions. Hence Vedas are heeded with divine knowledge. The art of Vastu originates in the Stapatya Veda, a part of the Atharva Veda.
No, in fact, it is a science of directions. It was written 5000 years back keeping in mind that, whosoever resides in a house would be benefited, so the question of religion does not arise. It all depends on belief and faith. Even foreigners are taking lots of Interest in knowing this great astrological science.
‘Vastu’ is a combination to Bio-energy Force, Gravitational Force, Magnetic Field of Earth, Solar Energy, Velocity of Wind and Cosmic Radiations. It is a Science based on Climatology and has very little to do with religion and spirituality.
‘Vastu Shastra’ is primarily a pre-construction science while ‘Feng Shui’ is a post-construction art.It is believed that Vastu initially emerged as a science of building Hindu temples that truly express the reverence for the Divine. Feng shui originated with the same energy of honouring the Spirit world and those who passed on, this is why one of the initial applications of fengshui is the Yin fengshui, or fengshui of proper design of the graveyards.
It can take anywhere between 7 days to 2.5 years. There are other parameters to be considered as the summation of problems in each property is different from another, hence a generalized fixated amount of time cannot be stated.
Broadly, the effect is same but it is liable on numerous other aspects too. The other factors to be considered are – where and for long did each individual reside before this house, their places of work and amount of time spend there, vastu of other spaces where they likely spend a good amount of time, etc.
Yes, in fact it is the first important thing to be considered while choosing a plot. A square or rectangular shaped plot is taken as ideal in ‘Vastu’. Any other shape with South-West corner at 90° angle, with North-West and South-East corners having more than 90° angle and North-East corner at less than 90° angle is also considered auspicious as the North East is extended and it welcomes prosperity.
In ‘Vastu’, all directions are suitable for facing a house but it may also depend on ‘VastuKundali’ of an individual. In every direction, certain portion or percentage is positive, hence plot facing all directions could be good. However, the possibility of ‘Vastu’ error is less in North or East facing house in comparison to the one facing West or South.
All the positive energy from North-East corner will move away through South-West door. It is supposed to be the door of leakage of money. South-West corner should also be closed and blocked to avoid negative energies entering the house. All heavy items are to be put in this corner of the house.
Due to the tilt of the Earth (22½°), North East corner of a structure receives positive energy. During early morning, when the Sun is at its maximum distance from the Earth, only infra-red rays are able to reach the Earth, which are beneficial for the human body. Hence, North-East portion of the house should be such that it receives these beneficial infra-red rays.
When you are facing the North, the magnetic field of the Earth hits your face and charges you up resulting in sharp memory and increase in grasping power.
